Wilson needed more capacity and more control over a wider heat range for curing Wilson Combat’s proprietary coating known as Armor-Tuff®. Darrell Bishop, custom shop manager, contacted HIX and explained the heat process necessary to properly cure their proprietary finish, and how their gas-fired ovens were not meeting their needs. Wilson Combat needed an oven which would consistently provide the perfect finish for the quality firearm which their customers have come to rely on.The batch oven shown here was custom designed to give Wilson Combat the control range they desired and the capacity to quickly get parts up to the process temperature that was required.
